Shhhhhhhh…….

I’m working on a secret project at the moment. Alright I’ve told a handful of people about it, but to the online world it’s remaining a secret for now! Anyway here’s something I made on my DSi while thinking about it.

The sound is rubbish but sounds much better on the DS itself. I had played around to make a nice rhythmic sound to accompany the walk, but I guess it only sounds good on crappy little speakers!

Normally my projects fizzle out before they even get properly started, but this one is going to be different. For the first time I have  a virtually complete idea so I can stop worrying about that and start working on the details.

Bad Bob

Here’s a quick test animation with Bob Small. It is incomplete because I discovered that I hadn’t controlled his size very well, making it look a bit like the camera  is zooming in!

I had also made a simple background for him, but the change in size meant he didn’t fit it!

My excuse is it’s late and I wasn’t concentrating well!

Bob

I said a few days ago that I was going to spend a week learning to draw one specific character with a view to making my mastery of 2D animation easier. However, being ever the indecisive one, I’ve changed my mind and have instead designed my own.

 

This is Bob.

 

I saved this image as BobSmall.jpg and I’m now wondering whether Small should be his surname! Bob is a bit insecure about his round tummy you see, so I think a last name like Small might make him feel a bit better.

Anyway, Bob here is hopefully going to do a bit of acting for me soon and I’ll try to get him on camera to show you. He’s shy though, that’s why he’d only let me put a couple of still pictures of him on here today. I’ll do what I can to get him to perform for us in the future.

 

Give a little cheer for Bob, or a BIG one if you feel up to it, and he might well let us watch his adventures!
